To allow the development of an educational path, it was necessary to choose a common topic, within which the various countries could propose an activity to the whole working group.
We succeeded in doing this through two online plenary meetings, in the month of February 2022, by using a shared jamboard and inviting each one to express his/her opinion. The starting point was two questions (image 1):
- According to you, what could inspire children more?
- What are their main interests, even beyond Astronomy?
Among several proposals, we quickly found out that if we took as a general topic the concept of light, we would have wide flexibility in subsequent choices (image 2): from history to basic physics, from astronomy to instrumentation.
Moreover, this would suggest one of the most characteristic elements of the Mediterranean area: its brightness, and its colours.
